Advertising is currently switched off. No adverts are shown anywhere on this publication, no advertising script is loaded, and no advertising or analytics cookie is set by us on these pages.

Where adverts may appear when they are switched on

Only on long guides, and only between whole sections of reading — never between a heading and the paragraph under it, never inside a calculator or its results, and never in the reference list. The homepage and the discovery pages stay clear. Every advert carries a visible “Advertisement” label so it can never be mistaken for something written or reviewed by us.

Cookies and consent

Advertising uses cookies. Because of that, nothing advertising-related loads until you have agreed. Before any choice is made, advert storage, advert personalisation, advert user data and analytics storage are all set to denied, and the advertising provider’s code is not added to the page at all. Saying no is as easy as saying yes, and saying no still gives you every page in full.

Your choice is remembered in this browser only. It is not attached to a name, an email address or an account, and this publication has no sign-in.

What we never use to choose an advert

No health, training, nutrition, body-composition, weight, mood, stress, behavioural or coaching information is ever used for advertising. The Bodywise Coach application, where information like that exists, is a separate service on a separate address with a separate advertising setting, and this publication cannot read it.
