About
About the Muscle & Strength Hub
A free reference library on resistance training and nutrition for adults, written for people who want the reasoning as well as the instruction.
What this publication is
The Muscle & Strength Hub is a free, advertising-supported reference library about resistance training, muscle gain and eating for training. It currently holds 39 published pages: guides, quick answers, programmes and working calculators. Everything is readable without an account, a newsletter sign-up or a paywall.
It is written for general-population adults aged 18 and over — mostly beginners and early intermediates — in British English, using metric units with imperial equivalents where they help.
Who publishes it
The Hub is published by Bodywise, the company behind the Bodywise Coach training and nutrition application at bodywise.io. The two are deliberately separate: bodywise.io is the product, and hub.bodywise.io is this publication. Hub pages carry no product promotion and nothing on the Hub is gated behind the application.
Who writes it
Every page is written and edited by one named person, Chris Mann Dip.IOPN — sports nutritionist and personal trainer. His qualifications are:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition (Dip.IOPN)
- Level 4 Certificate in Nutrition
- Level 3 Personal Trainer
There is no editorial board, no panel of contributors and no ghost-written content. Full biography and contact details are on his author page.
What it is not
The Hub is not a medical publication. It is not reviewed by a doctor, a dietitian, a physiotherapist or a clinical panel, and it is not peer reviewed. It does not diagnose, treat or manage any medical condition, and it does not cover injury rehabilitation, disordered eating or clinical nutrition. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or recently gave birth, take medication, or have symptoms that concern you, speak to a qualified clinician before changing how you train or eat.
How it is funded
The Hub is free to read. It is funded by Bodywise, and advertising space is intended in future to contribute to that cost. Advertising is not live on the Hub at present. When it is, adverts will be clearly separated from editorial content, they will never appear inside a safety warning or between a heading and its first paragraph, and no advertiser will have any influence over what the Hub publishes or recommends. The Hub publishes no sponsored articles, no paid reviews and no affiliate links.
How to reach us
Corrections, questions and complaints all go to the same place: the Bodywise contact page. Corrections are handled under the corrections policy.
Applicable terms
Because the Hub is published by Bodywise, the publisher-level documents apply to it: the privacy policy and the terms of use.
